Hello, everyone: I apologize for the lack of posts the past month, however I needed to completely take a break from the BMX world in order to make this recovery process as comfortable as it can be. I am happy to let you know that by the grace of God and a great medical team, my shoulder is continuing to heal successfully although I do not have a definitive timeframe of when I will be 100% healed. At the earliest, there's a chance I could be back on the bike by Mid-October. These last few months have been extremely weird and unusual for me. The last time I had a summer like this was 7 years ago before I started racing. Although it has been difficult to not race, I have been able to accept my circumstances, and find some silver linings in my time away from BMX.
If the racing season is virtually over by the time I'm healed, I will probably take the rest of this year off to give myself some extra time to ensure that I'm 100% both physically and mentally. Even if I am fully healed much sooner, it is still very likely I will take some extra time off. I have had lots of time for reflection and thought this summer and after taking my racing history, injury history, and all the sacrifices I have made into account, I can not at this time say that I want to jump back into the racing world as soon as possible. As I said earlier, even though not racing has been hard, it truly has been great to not have to deal with or worry about the stresses of training every day and racing every weekend, and traveling hundreds of miles back-to-back. All this extra time I've had lately has allowed me to spend some time on other parts of my life that usually get neglected because of BMX. Lastly, I want to give a tremendous thank you to God, my family, friends, sponsors, fans, doctors, and everyone who supports me for making this recovery process as comfortable as possible. Regardless of what happens, I owe a huge debt to the sport of BMX, so if there is anything I can do to help pay it back, please message me or let me know. Nothing is set in stone currently, so there is a chance you could see me back sooner than you think! Thanks again for all your support and understanding! #BMX

Hi, everyone! Sorry for the delay, but I'm glad to let you all know that Thursday's shoulder surgery was successful! My left arm and hand were totally numb on Thursday and yesterday my shoulder hurt a lot, so I've been restricted to typing with one hand the past couple days. The doctors said they ended up fixing more than they thought they had to, but luckily everything was able to be repaired. I now have a shoulder immobilizer to wear for at least the next month. Thank you so much to God and all of you who prayed for me and wished me luck. I'm certain that it helped. I will keep you all updated on the recovery process. Here's a picture from Thursday right after I got my IV. I was pretty excited as you can tell haha.

The fire will always be there, so make sure you use it while you still have the fuel.
